APPLE AND SAUSAGE STUFFING

This stunning Apple and Sausage Stuffing is a perfect accompaniment to any protein. Made with Pantry to Plate’s amazing Sage, Onion Powder and Rosemary, this is so good you might even make it your main dish! Give it a go and tell us what you think!
Ingredients
4 Apples (Pink Ladies were used for this recipe)
4 Sausages, skin peeled off
1 Tsp Seasalt
60g Butter
1 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
½ Cup Chicken or Vegetable stock
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C
- Wash and dice apples
- Place a large saucepan on the stovetop and melt butter
- Add apples and cook until soft
- Using a wooden spoon, add Sage, Onion, Rosemary, salt and sausage meat, breaking up the meat as you stir
- Once sausages have browned, add in breadcrumbs and stock, stirring until combined. Add more stock if you prefer a ‘wetter’ stuffing
- Remove from heat, and place in a baking dish
- Roast uncovered in the oven for 40 min
- Remove from oven and serve immediately
